Chocolate Banana Bread


  • 2 Mature banana
  • 100 gr flour
  • 25 gr cacao powder
  • 3 table spoons of yoghurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tea spoon of baking powder
  • 1 tea spoon of maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Almond
  • Orange zest


  1. Preheat oven to 180C degrees.
  2. Smash the bananas and mix with the egg. Mature bananas provides natural sugar to the bread so we don’t need to add any sugar. Mature banana is a sugar substitute.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, if applicable, maple syrup.
  4. Add the flour, cacao, baking powder, pinch of salt and mix.
  5. Add yoghurt. It gives workability to the batter and makes it smooth.
  6. Add the orange zest and almonds.
  7. Pour the batter into the cake mold, preferable a bread load mold.
  8. Bake the bread 30 mins and check if it is baked by using a toothstick method. If it is still batter, bake it until it becomes solid.
